Overview
Membership renewals in Singenuity are built around the New Version feature. Instead of rebuilding a membership plan each season or year, you create a new version of an existing plan, and members whose memberships are nearing expiration can renew into it directly from their membership portal. This article covers creating a new version, the settings that control how it's offered, and what the renewal looks like from the member's side.
Part 1: Creating a New Version
Navigate to manage.singenuity.com, select Products, then Memberships, and open the Plans tab. On an existing membership plan you'll now see a New Version button.
Click New Version and you'll be prompted to give the new version a Name (e.g., "2027 Annual Pass").
All of the settings from the original membership are copied over to the new version — members, plan duration, blackout days, exclusive rates, and the rest — so there's no need to rebuild anything from scratch.
Review the copied settings and adjust anything that changes for the new term, such as the price or the plan duration dates.
Mark the new version as Sellable: The new version must have its Sellable toggle set to yes in order to appear as a renewal option. If it isn't sellable, members won't see it when they go to renew.
Part 2: Controlling How the New Version Is Sold
Two settings on the new version's Details tab work together to control where it's available:
Sellable: Must be on for the new version to be offered as a renewal (and, if it's not internal only, sold as a standalone membership).
Internal Only: Hides the new version from your regular online membership sales page while keeping it fully available as a renewal option.
Want renewals now but standalone sales later? Mark the new version as Sellable and Internal Only. Existing members can still renew into it even while it's internal, but it won't appear on your regular membership selling page. When you're ready to open it up for standalone sales, simply turn off the internal flag.
Part 3: How Members Renew
Once the new version is in place, a member whose membership is approaching expiration will see a renewal button when they log in to their membership portal. That button takes them directly to the new membership to complete their renewal purchase.
Renewal is not automatic: Members are not charged or renewed automatically. The member/passholder must intentionally log in to their membership portal and go through the renewal process themselves.
Common Use Cases
Annual pass rollover: Create a new version of this year's annual pass for next year, mark it sellable and internal only, and let current passholders renew early before opening it to the public.
Price changes between seasons: Copy the existing plan with New Version, update only the price, and members renew into the new pricing without any other settings changing.
Season pass renewals: Give returning members a direct renewal path from their portal instead of asking them to find and repurchase the membership from your book site.
Conclusion
The New Version button makes membership renewals simple: copy an existing plan, mark the new version as Sellable (and Internal Only if you're not ready for standalone sales), and members nearing expiration can renew directly from their membership portal.
